how to improve the performance of data storage on windows 7- Hi buddy blogger, meet again with my ramli siburian in sharing together. this time I will discuss tips and tricks on how to improve data storage performance by memamfaatkan Disk Write Caching on windows 7. wonder how to ??? let us refer to the explanation below.

Know Disk Write Caching

first of all we need to know what is Disk Write Caching ???
Disk Write Caching is a feature that improves system performance by providing write caching on a device. The advantage is the application can run faster because the application process can continue to run without the need to wait for writing data written on disk.
Suppose we have the file to be written on disk. When we save it, Windows will make note that we want to save the file to the hard drive. This temporary information will be stored on Windows memory and will write files on the hard drive later. Once the files are actually written on the hard drive, the cache will tell the windows that the files have been written to the hard drive and the files in the cache can be safely deleted.

1. Disk Write Caching Through Explorer

Usually the Disk Write Caching feature is active by default, but if we feel not activate it, or have never disable it before but forgot again how to enable it.maka I will share the way in the following way:

1. Open the computer drive through Windows Explorer, then right click on the partition and
     select properties.
2. then it will open the drive properties window according to the partition we choose. Open
the Hardware tab and select the Properties button.

3. then select the Policies tab and check the Enable write caching on the device.

4 Click OK to complete the configuration.

2. Disk Write Caching via Device Manager

A similar way can be done through Windows device manager. Open the device manager and select Disk Drives, right click and select properties.
this stage is the same as stage no. 3 above. Go to the Policies tab and check the Enable write caching on the device section to enable it. What distinguishes in the previous way is we enable caching for the entire entire drive, whereas before we do it one by one on each partition.

Disable Disk Write Caching

To disable the cache, just uncheck the Enable write caching on the device and click OK to end the configuration.
Once disabled usually the computer runs a little slow because the whole process of writing data directly made into the hard drive.

so much my understanding of how to improve the performance of data storage on windows 7. may be useful for all of us. greeting blogger "Ramli Siburian".

thank you !!!!
